What should you expect as a Southwestern Company Host Family?
Southwestern Company Host Family Build Relationships with StudentsStudents wake up pretty early during the summertime. Monday through Saturday a student will go to breakfast at a local restaurant to prepare for the day ahead as well as fellowship with roommates. Students begin knocking on doors at about 8 o'clock in the morning and work until around dark. On Sundays students attend motivational meetings with other students from their school and have time to worship at church, reflect or just relax. Students will have their own transportation in the summer either with their own car or getting a ride from someone else in their organization.

As you can see, students keep quite busy during summer. All a student generally needs is a place to rest and keep their belongings. Students eat breakfast and lunch outside of the home. After working all day, they are pretty tired and usually eat a light dinner at home. A student really only needs some spare cupboard space and a spot in the fridge where they will keep their own food.

Students typically pay between $30 and $35 per week each. A typical Southwestern Company Host Family houses between 2 and 4 students depending upon their situation.Southwestern Company Host Family Provides Safe Low Cost Housing for Students

Of course, every student and Southwestern Company Host Family is different. Some Southwestern Company Host Families enjoy cooking or saving some dinner for a couple of hard working students, some don't. Some students are tired at the end of the day and just want to go to bed. The best way to have an awesome experience with students is to let them know the "Rules of the House," before they ever move in.
